Namaqua Education District (Phase 2): Special Visit to Project & District (May, 2018)

Japan comes to the Namaqua District

Mr Keita Sugai of the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (Sylff) will be accompanying Louis Benjamin to the district.

Louis was a SYLFF fellow for the duration of his Phd studies at the University of the Western Cape.

Mr Sugai will be visiting the district to see the project for himself and to talk with teachers, district officials and managers.

It is hoped that the SYLFF Fund will invest in our work in the Northern Cape in the future .

Programme

14 May

We will be visiting schools in a township, a small mining town, and in a small rural hamlet/mission station.

15 May

We will be meeting with the leadership of the Namaqua Education District, including the District Director and the Chief-, Deputy chief-, and Senior Education Specialists.
