Metro South (2013): School Visit to Samora Machel

Dr. Benjamin accompanied the Project Coordinator (Fiella Williams) on a visit to a project school.

Three of the Grade 1 teachers at the school received mentoring. It was wonderful to see that these teachers had not waited for a visit to their school to start with the implementation of the programme. The teachers were motivated and eager to implement the programme.
Session Planners, Learner Workbooks, and Wall Charts were visible in all these classes.
It was evident that the teachers were open to learning and developing as mediators of the programme. The teachers will receive additional support from the Learning Support Teacher based at the school - She is a trained and experienced mediator of the programme.
The Principal at the school continued to express interest and strong support for the project at her school.
