Etafeni: Baseline Results For School Readiness (2012)

Baseline data for the project was gathered from a school close to the Etafeni Day Centre. The results reveal that while 52% of the learners were ready for school learning, 48% were not prepared for learning in Grade 1 in May when the test was administered. 'The sub-test results that were most concerning were those for knowledge of shape, position and letter concepts.'
