New Field Worker introduced to practitioners
Thandiwe Banjwa, a recently retired teacher and Foundation Phase HOD, has been appointed to mentor the practitioners at the Centre.
Thandiwe is an experienced mediator of the BCP who participated in the recently completed Ikwezi Project. She was one of the stand out mediators of the Project.
Thandiwe took no time at all to adjust to her new role and immediately engaged the practitioners of the youngest groups (0-3 yrs) in a hands-on and practical manner. It was clear that the practitioners were comfortable with her and understood what was expected of them.
The practitioners have continued with the implementation of the programme in a largely informal way. The introduction of the new Field Worker however marks the start of a new more structured phase of the project.
